Cascade Camping

Cascade Campground is the Moses Lake Parks & Recreation Department's premier outdoor camping area.


General Information

  • The campground is open April through September.
  • Playground area inside park.
  • On site caretaker.
  • Free boat launch and temporary moorage.
  • Ice & Firewood available for purchase during operational hours.
  • Sanitary dump station provided to paid campers.
  • Shower facilities for paid campers. ($1.00 for 7 minutes)


Rules

  • Alcohol is prohibited.  (RCW 66.44.100)
  • Any damage to park property will be the liability of the responsible party.
  • Please be aware the City of Moses Lake has recently adopted a hazardous dog ordinance. (Chapter 6.06 of the Municpal Code)
  • Do not leave pets unsupervised. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Please clean up after your pet.  Pets must have current rabies vaccinations.  (Chapter 6.05 of the Municipal Code)
  • Horses are not allowed in campground or day use area.
  • Firearms and fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited.
  • Usage of non-street legal motorcycles, three-wheelers and four-wheelers are prohibited in all park areas.  Motorized vehicles not allowed off roadways.  Speed limit 10 m.p.h. inside park boundary.  Improperly parked vehicles are subject to impound at owner's expense.
  • All other vehicles, including boat trailers, must be parked in boat trailer storage area/overflow parking lot.
  • Live trees, vegetation or firewood may not be cut or removed from the park.
  • The City of Moses Lake is not responsible for theft or loss.  Please lock your vehicle(s) and secure your personal property.
  • Swimming and fishing is prohibited in boat launch and moorage areas.
  • Quiet time is 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
  • Fires allowed in fire rings or barbecues only.
  • Only paid campers in campground.  Visitors welcome in day use area.
  • Please respect other campers' space, go around - not through sites.

All park users are subject to regulations as provided in Chapter 12.36 of the Municipal Code.  The penalty for any person convicted of a violation is subject to a fine of imprisionment.

Park Caretaker's decisions or judgements are final so as to keep campers safe and to maintain the integrity and intent of all rules.

Reservations 

  • Reservations are on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Phone (509-764-3805), fax (509-764-3834) or mail (Cascade Campground, P.O. Box 1579, Moses Lake, WA 98837) will be accepted starting January 5, 2012 with full payment attached.  Site check-out time is 12:00 p.m. and check-in time is after 2:00 p.m.

Camping Fees

  • Tent sites (#1 - #32; #33 is a handicapped accessible tent site) provide on-site water only and are $20.00 per night plus $5.00 processing fee. Maximum of 2 tents per tent site - space available. Maximum of 6 people (includes children and infants) per site.
  • RV sites (#34 - #75) provide water and electrical hook-ups and are $25.00 per night plus a $5.00 processing fee. Maximum of 1 additional tent per RV site - space available. Maximum of 6 people (includes children and infants) per site.
  • Group Site (#76 - #85) Entire block must be rented and is designated for group camping. $165.00 per night, $50.00 processing fee, maximum of 60 people.
  • Processing fees are non-refundable.
  • Only one vehicle per camp site.
  • Minimum two night stay over weekends and three nights over holiday weekends.


Cancellation/Change Policy

  • Weekday reservations (Monday through Thursday) must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance; Friday, Saturday and Sunday arrivals must be canceled by 5:00 p.m. the Wednesday before, to receive a full refund, minus the non-refundable processing fee and a $10.00 cancellation fee. Call the Parks and Recreation office at 509-764-3805 between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • No Show/Non Cancellation will result in forfeiture of all fees.

Driving Directions to Cascade Campground - 2001 West Valley Road

  • Eastbound on I-90:
    Exit 176 onto Broadway, left at 3rd traffic light (Broadway & Stratford), cross the lake, turn left at the next traffic light (Valley Road) continue on Valley Road through two traffic lights and a flashing yellow warning light and down the hill...park is very visible on your left at the bottom of the hill.
  • Westbound on I-90:
    Exit 179, right onto Hwy. 17 (SR17), through 8 traffic lights, right at 9th light (Broadway and Alder), cross the lake, turn left at the next traffic light (Valley Road) continue on Valley Road through two traffic lights and a flashing yellow warning light and down the hill...park is very visible on your left at the bottom of the hill.
  • Northbound on Highway 17:
    Drive through through 8 traffic lights, right at 9th light (Broadway and Alder), cross the lake, turn left at the next traffic light (Valley Road) continue on Valley through two traffic lights and a flashing yellow warning light and down the hill...park is very visible on your left at the bottom of the hill.
  • Southbound on Highway 17:
    Right onto Airway Drive (at the Airway Deli/Convenience Store), right onto Valley Road at flashing yellow warning light and down the hill...park is very visible on your left at the bottom of the hill.
