The Larson Recreation Center (LRC) is a family oriented facility with a variety of activities for all ages such as token operated batting cages, FREE Playstation 2 video gaming, FREE Foos-Ball, FREE Ping-Pong, FREE Air-Hockey, and full service concessions. The LRC is also home to the FREE BMX Bicycle track, The LOFT (Learning Opportunities For Today), and the FREE Municipal Ice Rink (seasonal).

BATTING CAGES
Batting Cages and Facility To reserve the facility for non-open hours the cost will be $75.00 per hour and the machines will be turned on. No tokens needed.
Softball/Baseball/Fastpitch Teams To reserve one cage during open hours will be $35.00 per hour.
Baseball Hitting Clinics Ages: Girls and Boys 7 - 18 years old Session 1 - October 22, 24, 29, 31 & November 1, 2007(canceled) Session 2 - November 14, 19, 21, 26 & 28, 2007 Session 3 - January 2, 8, 9, 15 & 16, 2008 Times: 5:00 - 6:10 p.m. 7 - 9 years old 6:15 - 7:25 p.m. 10 - 12 years old 7:30 - 8:40 p.m. 13 - 18 years old Cost: $90.00 per person, per session Instructor: Greg Smith, former major league player, founder and head instuctor of Hit to Win Baseball Camps, hitting coach for KC Royals Spokane affiliate and current major league scout. Program: Learn the physical skills and the mental approach to be the best hitter you can be. Each individual will gain postive feedback and higher learning in each area being demonstrated such as: Mental Preperation and Approach/Set-up, Vision, Timing/Rhythm Mechanism, Power Postion/Balance, Weight Transfer/Flexibility and Bat Head Awareness/Extension.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
$60.00 for 2 hours for 10 people includes hot dogs, chips and 4 pitchers of pop, ice skate rental or 30 batting tokens. It will be $6.00 for each additional person above 10 people
$120.00 for 2 hours for 20 people includes hot dogs, chips and 8 pitchers of pop, ice skate rental or 60 batting tokens. It will be $6.00 for each additional person above 20 people
It will be $30.00 for each additional hour above the 2 hours.
BMX TRACK
The Larson BMX track layout is of a letter M style Built by Billy Allen in the fall of year 2004 and is an ABA sanctioned BMX track. The Moses Lake BMX track has been quoted as one of the best tracks in the state.
The Larson BMX Track is host to around 20 races per year. Each race brings in athletes of all ages from all over the Pacific Northwest.

Nickel Night at the LRC Ages: All Ages When: February 9, 2008 Location: Larson Recreation Center, 610 South Yakima Cost: Free Bring your family or sweetheart and enjoy lots of activities and fun at the Larson Recreation Center. Try ice skating with your sweetheart or try your luck at air hockey or foosball. This event is sponsored by the Nickel Saver.
THE LOFT
Welcome to the Loft! The LOFT (Learning Opportunities For Today) is the newly designed upstairs to the Larson Recreation Center.
The LOFT includes a state of the art computer lab that was funded by a donation from Moses Lake Industries. It includes 10 computers all loaded with the latest software where anyone can access the internet, work on homework, or just play with the technology. All programs are for Middle School and High School students ages 11-18. Students ages 7-10 can drop in from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday to do their homework. After this time, and weekends, the LOFT is reserved for youth 11-18 years of age.
The purpose of the LOFT is to provide a safe, comfortable well supervised facility where a diverse group of youth can utilize technology, study, recreate and interact in a positive, alcohol and drug free environment.
