MOSES LAKE MUSEUM & ART CENTER
KIDS CLAYSTUDIO: CLAY WALLPOCKET
Ages: 6 — 12 years old
Dates: Tuesdays, August 3 & 10, 2010
Time: 10:35 — 11:35 am
Cost: $12 class fee, $10.80 MAC Members plus $25 materials fee payable the day of class
Limit: 16 (6 minimum)
Instructor: Laura Mayer, BFA Ceramics/BA Art Ed
Create a unique clay wall pocket to hold treasures, letters and cards. Explore basic clay techniques using stamps, and tools.

Ages: 3 -5 years old (must be accompanied by an adult)

Create your own unique serving piece from a lump of clay to a finished food safe platter. Or go wild and make a cool handmade clay wallpocket. Use molds, stamps & tools to impress your friends and family using basic clay techniques.

Create a unique collage on an artist's panel. Discover basic color mixing techniques, and apply layers of acrylic paint to complete the masterpiece.
WATERCOLOR BEYOND BASICS: FRUIT & FLORAL

Build on skills explored in WC Basics. Work on new subject matter of fruit and flowers. Continue learning the tips and techniques of watercolor. Class includes start of a simple paint kit.
MIXED MEDIA COLLAGE: SUNFLOWER
Ages: 12 to Adult
Date: Tuesdays, August 24 & 31, 2010
Time: 6:30 — 8:30 pm

Limit: 16 (6 minimum)

Use watercolor, pencils, pastels and more to create a large funky flower from the garden. No need to know how to draw. Let Laura walk you through the steps to unleash your inner artist. You will create a large mixed media collage to take home and frame.

MAC is a non-profit institution emphasizing the history and art of Central Washington and is supported by the City of Moses Lake and Friends of MAC.
The MAC is located at 228 West Third Avenue in downtown Moses Lake. Summer hours are 11am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday, and admission is FREE.
